Blue Cheese

Product Description

A strain with some serious bag appeal, Blue Cheese is a premium plant that offers up some quality sweet and savory aromas and tastes, as well as a potent yet balanced effect that makes it a great choice for relaxing after a long day.

Blue Cheese is an iconic indica-dominant strain that has some impressive genetic lineage, being a cross between the legendary Blueberry and the UK-native strain Cheese, which is where this strain gets its name. It achieves a THC potency of up to 21%, with CBD and CBN levels coming in at less than 1%.

Being relatively easy to grow, Blue Cheese is a great option for beginner growers that are keen for a challenge. The strain can be grown in any environment; however indoor cultivation is often rewarded with a little more success. With a high leaf-to-bud ratio, cultivators will want to trim down the broader fan leaves at the top of the plant to permit light to reach the lower branches. Indoors, Blue Cheese has a flowering time of 8-9 weeks, with generous yields of around 500-600g/m2. Outdoors, this strain is ready to harvest in late-September and yields of around 500-600g/plant are fairly typical. As a pretty pungent plant, growers will likely want to install some odor control measures such as carbon filters.

Visually, growers are in for a treat with these plants. They grow to about 100-200cm tall with a classic bushy indica structure. Large sticky snow-white flowers form in clusters around the central cola, as well as along the strong branches. The large buds have a dense structure, with tightly-packed medium-green leaves interwoven with copper pistils. Blue Cheese has a pungent aroma that it has inherited from its Blueberry parent strain, with characteristic fruity, berry notes. This is balanced by a tangy cheese scent that has a hint of musk to it. The taste has a distinctive creamy cheesiness that cannasseurs have come to love.

Blue Cheese is a popular strain due to its balanced high as it delivers a creeping high, that comes on slowly, manifesting in a physical relaxation as well as some altered perceptions. It’s a mellow body effect with a touch of euphoria that doesn’t necessarily end in couchlock unless you opt for larger doses. It is a perfect strain for unwinding at the end of a long hard day.
